Why did you choose your profession?

I chose my profession because I am passionate about using technology to deliver positive, measurable, and lasting changes for organizations. As I started my career at IBM, I was fortunate to work with and learn from great leaders at IBM and this laid the foundation for my success and formed my leadership style. I learned to be adaptive, facilitate under challenging circumstances, and I am able to coordinate in real time and have strong situational awareness.

I also learned that although technical execution is important, real value comes from strategic alignment with business goals and value adds. I moved from just managing deliverables to influencing enterprise direction connecting business goals, delivery frameworks and stakeholder outcomes. I am very successful in dealing with the challenges that came along with transformations and I was very passionate about this work so I have stayed in this field for over two decades and have been able to continuously learn and grow. I have many certifications and am completing a postgraduate certificate in Machine Learning and Generative Al.

Over time, I have had the privilege of supporting both corporate and some mission-driven organizations, combining my love of problem-solving with my commitment to helping them succeed. I am inspired by the belief that the right information, in the right hands, can transform not just individual lives but entire communities.

Who is the one person who has done the most to shape you into who you are today? How was the person significant to you?

The person who has shaped me the most is my mother. Growing up, she faced and overcame significant barriers, yet always prioritized education, compassion, and service to others. She instilled in me the values of resilience, persistence, and empathy reminding me that true leadership means lifting others as you climb. Her unwavering belief in my potential and her example of giving back to the community guided many of my life and career choices. Because of her, I strive not just for professional success but to have a meaningful and positive impact on everyone I work with.

What has been the greatest accomplishment of your life so far?

My greatest accomplishment has been facing and overcoming significant barriers throughout my life. Confronting and solving these challenges head-on has strengthened my resilience and problem-solving skills, enabling me to remain composed and effective when unexpected issues arise at work. This journey has also taught me the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility. It has shaped me into a purpose-driven leader who deeply understands the needs of the business and the teams I work with. These experiences have not only enhanced my professional effectiveness but also reinforced my commitment to lead with empathy and strategic focus.
